WHEN STARS ALIGN

October 25th, 2019

Several noteworthy visitors have visited Taliesin this autumn. Whether for pre-planned events or a spontaneous day trip, well-known writers, musicians and filmmakers have took an active interest in learning more about the estate and the lifelong passions of Frank Lloyd Wright. This photo journal is a handful of the most memorable moments, which may reflect what inspired each artist to come—and these captivating words spoken by Wright years ago:

“What is architecture anyway? Is it the vast collection of the various buildings which have been built to please the varying tastes of the various lords of mankind? I think not. No, I know that architecture is life; or at least it is life itself taking form and therefore it is the truest record of life as it was lived in the world yesterday, as it is lived today, or ever will live. So, architecture I know to be a Great Spirit.”
