Preparing for Your Tour

Arrival 

Please arrive at the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center at least 20 minutes before your tour to pick up your tickets. The shuttle to Taliesin leaves promptly at the posted tour start time. Tours gather approximately 10 minutes before the tour start time. If you are late, we will do our best to accommodate you, but cannot guarantee you will be able to take a tour on the same day. 

Preparing for Your Tour 

To make your tour as enjoyable as possible, please consider the following:

     ● Tours depart from the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center promptly at the posted tour time.  

     ● Your guide will announce your tour about 10 minutes before departure. 

     ● Tours go out in all weather and portions of the tour are outside, so please plan and dress accordingly. 

     ● Tours are brought to the estate via shuttle bus. Therefore, it is not possible to leave a tour early, unless in case          of an emergency.  

     ● We ask that guests stay with their guide on tour, do not touch objects, and only sit where permitted by Taliesin         staff. 

     ● Please use the restrooms at the Visitor Center before your tour. Restrooms are available on tours in case of                 emergency.  

     ● Please leave large bags and backpacks (except for medically necessary items) in your vehicle to reduce                 the risk of damage to Taliesin and its artifacts.  

What to Wear 

     ● Footwear: Comfortable shoes are recommended as the tour involves walking on uneven terrain and gravel                walkways.  

     ● Clothing: Dress comfortably based on the weather, as the tour will be conducted both indoors and outdoors.  

     ● Insect Protection: We suggest using insect repellent and wearing long pants or sleeves to protect against                   mosquitoes, especially during warmer months. 

What to Bring & What Not to Bring  

      Allowed:

               ● Bottled Water (available for purchase or refill at the Visitor Center)

               ● Cameras  

               ● Bug spray 

               ● Rain gear

      Not Allowed:

               ● Food or beverages (except bottled water)

               ● Large bags and backpacks 

               ● Tripods and selfie sticks 

Accessibility Information  

     ● Terrain: Please note that Taliesin tours include walking on uneven terrain, gravel paths, and stairways without       handrails.  

     ● Walking/Standing: Tour guests will spend the majority of the tour walking and standing. Some spaces           have limited seating available and additional seating is available upon request.  

     ● Mobility Aids: Unfortunately, our shuttles are not accessible for wheelchairs. Walkers are permitted on tours       as long as they can fold and be stored in front of the guest while seated on the shuttle to ensure that the aisle             remains clear.

About Our Visitor Center 

Originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, The Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center is the gateway to Taliesin, where all tours of the property begin and end. The building also includes the The Wright Gift Shop and Riverview Terrace Cafe.

Detailed Directions 

     ● Please note all tours depart directly from the Visitor Center and not from the Taliesin property. 

     ● The Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center is located at 5607 County Road C, Spring Green, WI 53588.

     ● Some GPS devices may take you to the wrong location, so please be sure to input our address or “Frank             Lloyd Wright Visitor Center.”  

     ● It is located at the intersection of Highway 23 and County Road C.  

     ● If you are lost or running late, please call us at (877) 588-7900. 

Photo Waiver 

Photography is allowed for personal use only on all public tours. No other reproductions may be created for commercial use in any way without the express, written consent of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. While on the property, your tour group may be photographed for use by Taliesin Preservation or the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.
