This course, designed for both beginning and experienced painters, leads you to explore the spirit of nature by observation, meditation, and imagination. Participants learn the fundamentals of the spontaneous style of Chinese painting with simple strokes of ink and subtle color washes.
Yueh-mei Cheng is a professional artist and studio art professor. Her artwork has been exhibited throughout North America, Europe, and Asia as well as in her native Taiwan. She obtained M.A and M.F.A degrees in painting from the University Wisconsin-Madison. Widely recognized, Yueh-mei Cheng teaches and lectures internationally. Currently, Cheng is a visiting professor at Tunghai University in Taiwan, and she has been a tenured professor of studio art at Finlandia University International School of Art and Design in Michigan for more than a decade. Cheng’s passion for art education is profound.
