Taliesin is located in the town of Spring Green, Wisconsin, in the beautiful southwestern part of the state. This area of rolling hills and farms inspired Frank Lloyd Wright as a young man growing up.
An hour west of the city Madison and a half-hour north of the town of Dodgeville, Spring Green is home to 1,400 people. While national hotel chains and eateries are available within driving distance, Spring Green and the surrounding towns are home to mostly individually-owned hotels, motels, and restaurants. The state of Wisconsin has two Wright buildings available for overnight rental as you plan your trip to the state: the Seth Peterson Cottage (1958, Lake Delton) and the Bernard Schwartz House (1939, Two Rivers). Both sites tend to fill up in advance, so make your plans ahead.
