An Exhibition of Pedro E. Guerrero Photography of Frank Lloyd Wright: Celebrating Two American Masters in their Anniversary Years

An exhibit of iconic photos of photographer Pedro E. Guerrero in the Dana Gallery of the Hillside Home School at Taliesin celebrates the 20-year friendship between two American masters: Wright and Guerrero. 50% Off Public Tours in Honor of Wright’s 150th
Tuesday, June 6–Thursday, June 8

 All Taliesin Preservation public tours will be offered at half price in honor of Wright’s 150th. This includes everything from the one-hour tour of the Hillside Home School to the two-hour tour of the Taliesin residence to the four-hour tour of the entire Taliesin estate.

Tan-y-Deri Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Friday, June 2

A ribbon-cutting event with invited guests will celebrate the successful completion of a multi-year comprehensive exterior and interior restoration of Tan-y-Deri. Wright designed this shingled prairie home for his sister in 1907 and later made it part of his Taliesin estate.

A Wright Celebration for Kids with Author/Entertainer Bob Kann
Saturday, June 17

This family-friendly event in Taliesin’s Hillside Theater celebrates Wright’s 150th with a fun and interactive presentation by children’s author and entertainer Bob Kann (Frank Lloyd Wright and His New American Architecture, Wisconsin State Historical Society Press). Afterward, visitors will enjoy Wright’s traditional birthday cake on the Hillside lawn.

Sunday, August 6, and Monday, August 7

Taliesin Preservation and the Rural Musicians Forum present music and spoken word from Frank Lloyd Wright to Bach, Copland, and others — and the world premiere of a new choral composition by Scott Gendel in honor of Wright’s 150th performed by the Taliesin Community Chorus. Book your tickets at the Rural Musicians Forum.

An exhibit of Pedro E. Guerrero's photography in the Dana Gallery with a reception featuring local cheese and a cash bar, followed by a screening of the PBS American Masters documentary “Pedro E. Guerrero: A Photographer’s Journey” at Taliesin’s Hillside Theater. The event celebrates the 20-year friendship between Wright and Guerrero. A milestone year for both, it is Guerrero’s 100th and Wright’s 150th birthdays. *SOLD OUT

50th Anniversary Celebration at the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center
Friday, Septemeber 22

This evening event celebrates the 50th anniversary of the opening of Wright’s Riverview Terrace on the Wisconsin River at the edge of the Taliesin estate, known today as the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center. Speakers will present the rich history of this building, for which Lady Bird Johnson attended the grand opening on this date in 1967. Refreshments and cash bar will be available. First Annual Taliesin Preservation Gala and Renewal Ceremony

Join us for this first annual gala showcasing Taliesin Preservation and its achievements, thanking its friends and donors, honoring the unique contributions of its current and past board members, and announcing upcoming projects and needs. The first year will kick off a new Taliesin Preservation Emeritus Board and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center.Tickets available soon.
