Public Access Policies and Guidelines
The Taliesin estate in Spring Green, WI is owned by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Taliesin Preservation, Inc. (TPI) acts as a liaison to the Foundation in coordinating access to this private estate for media purposes.
TPI is responsible for public access to the estate and a TPI representative will accompany all visitors onto the estate for commercial, non-commercial, personal and/or educational purposes. Because TPI conducts a public tour program every day May throughOctober, prior permission is required, since access to the estate involves special scheduling, staff coordination and, in many cases, the signing of legal agreements with the Foundation. Site access from November through April is not advised due to the unheated state of the buildings and weather conditions which make the estate difficult to navigate. Off-season site access is at the complete discretion of TPI and the Foundation.
Interior photography is restricted on the Taliesin grounds in Wisconsin. Exceptions may be considered in regard to interior photography, but is at the complete discretion of TPI and the Foundation. Stock images are available upon request. Please contact Becky Rex by email at brex@taliesinpreservation.org.
